Higher Sites Launch Server 4
Posted by David Hurst in HigherSites®, New Launches, News on August 16th, 2006
The Higher Sites server farm has grown again - we have launched a new server to help cope with our rapidly growing hosting business. The new server is an Athlon 64 based machine with 1Gb RAM and RAID running the latest Fedora Core linux distribution. Our ultra-fast, ultra-reliable hosting is based on high quality equipment located in state-of-the-art data centres with huge connectivity and bandwidth allocations.
Whilst this new machine could easily host hundreds of websites, our low-population policy means that it will never host more than 99 client websites. Low population = more system resources and bandwidth available to each site. We don’t know of any competitors that can boast similar performance in our price bracket.

Higher Sites is 1!

I can barely believe it - the time has gone by so quickly, but it was 1 June 2005 when we officially launched Higher Sites from the spare room in my house. Now a year later we employ 2 staff and have offices in Ilminster.
We had modest ambitions and our success has taken us a little by surprise. We doubled our first year turnover target, and next year is set to be even more exciting.
A big thanks go to all the people that helped us get started: clients, colleagues and long-suffering family members.
Server 3 is launched!

How quickly time passes, and how quickly our hosting business has grown. We have now added a third server to our server farm to cope with all our hosted websites.
Our servers have never been offline, and with 18,000Mbit connectivity in the data centre and our low population policy (no more than 100 sites per server), our clients always get top performance.
If you want to experience the next level in hosting performance coupled with a personal service, contact Higher Sites on 01460 55662.
