Bringing Home the Bacon
Posted by David Hurst in Food!, New Launches on November 30th, 2009
I do love a nice slice of bacon (or three), and I have a real soft spot for quality sausages, so I was very happy to help out Bringing Home the Bacon with a new website! Obviously, much of the produce was sampled in the name of research - it’s a difficult job, but someone had to do it.
Bringing Home the Bacon specialise in free range, handmade dry cured bacon and sausages. All the meat comes from the farm’s own herd of pigs, so quality is paramount from piglet to plate. There’s also gluten free sausages for pork lovers with allergies.
Anyway, if you’re local to Somerset, and you feel the need for some delicious free range pork goodies, give the website a click on the link above.

Secure Online Random Password Generator
Posted by David Hurst in New Launches, PHP, Security on March 3rd, 2008
Regular readers of my blog may remember, or have used, my secure random password generator class. For those who aren’t PHP proficient, or just can’t be bothered to create the pages necessary, I’ve implemented it into a new website: www.random-password.net. I hope it proves useful.
The benefit of my class is that it generates passwords based upon a pattern, and you can make it generate upto 99 random passwords based on your pattern in a single click. The random-password.net website also stores a convenient cookie, so that it will remember your pattern each time you visit.
Let me have any comments or suggestions please, and I love to hear from you if my work has helped you in any way.
A pukka website for pukka gifts…
Posted by David Hurst in HigherSites®, New Launches on February 17th, 2008
Looking for that perfect gift for your loved one? Short on ideas? Pukka Gifts may just be able to help you out.
Higher Sites has recently launched a new website for PukkaGifts.co.uk - gifts, toys and games. This fully content managed e-commerce site features XML hookups to the wholesaler to minimise administration time for the shop owners. This XML hook-up can deliver live stock and pricing updates, which helps to eliminate stock errors and ensures the website always displays up-to-date product information.
No e-commerce website would be complete without an ongoing marketing plan, so PukkaGifts.co.uk is enrolled in our search engine optimisation programme, and the website features automatic feeds to Google and full integration with Google Analytics.
The Parsonage Bed & Breakfast - spanking new website
Posted by David Hurst in HigherSites®, New Launches on February 14th, 2008
Whenever I decide to spend a few nights away with the family, the first thing I do is search online for some nice accommodation. Every time I am stunned by the overwhelming amounts of shoddy websites in the hospitality and tourism industries. So, when we got the opportunity to work with The Parsonage Bed & Breakfast of Muchelney, Somerset, on their new website, I was particularly eager to make sure the web development team at Higher Sites got it right.
Whilst it is a fairly basic website, I think the end result is particularly fine and stands The Parsonage head and shoulders above 99% of their competition. Have a look at the website at: www.parsonagesomerset.co.uk.
