It’s been a while since I posted to my site, but this news item caught my eye. Recently, Dell started offering Ubuntu pre-installed on its machines, by popular demand. Now Lenovo is following suit and offering Novel Linux on its laptops. This is real progress and a definite indication that Linux is ready for the masses. Who knows what the next few years will bring? Linux is gaining in popularity and usability, Apple are consistently growing their market share (and the new OS will only increase that) and at the same time Microsoft have released Vista, which amounts to little more than XP with eye candy. It is certainly time for consumers to exercise their right of free choice.
